About Wise Steps Impact

Impact through Actions: Who We Are

Established in 2019, Wise Steps Impact (formerly Wise Steps Foundation) is a women-led Indonesian NGO co-creating sustainable futures for rural communities at the intersection of education, employment, entrepreneurship, and environmental protection. We act as an Ecosystem Catalyst, bridging the gap between high-level sustainability concepts and practical, on-the-ground implementation. Currently, we leverage Indonesia’s massive commercial tourism industry as the engine for this change. By connecting the potential of rural youth, women, and local champions directly to tourism supply chains, we ensure vulnerable destinations transition from extractive practices to regenerative flourishing and true local self-reliance.

Our Ecosystem

Backed by a Commercial Ecosystem

Wise Steps Impact is the non-profit arm of the Wise Steps Group. Operating alongside our commercial partners, Wise Steps Consulting and Sejiva, we are part of an integrated social enterprise ecosystem. This structure provides us with critical funding pipelines and direct access to hospitality supply chains. It allows us to understand exact industry needs, co-create relevant solutions at the community level, and advise destinations on feasible, long-term sustainability strategies.
